"
I am so glad I found Rachel’s class because she is very knowledgeable and cares about her students. She always asked if anyone was having problems so that she could tailor each class to the needs of her students. She welcomed questions and would demonstrate and review poses with students not just during class but afterwards as well. Her enthusiasm for prenatal yoga and people is obvious. I know I benefited from taking Rachel’s class – my labor was short and my recovery was on the quick side – I was in my pre-pregnancy clothes 2 ½ - 3 weeks after having my daughter and I think yoga helped me do this because I was able to retain muscle tone. I would recommend Rachel’s class to anyone".

"
I
became pregnant with my first baby...and knew that I would need to start
putting "me" first, for the sake of the tiny little person growing
inside me...it was important to me to keep active throughout my
pregnancy, but couldn't do the high impact sports I was used to
doing....and found YogaVita.org right near my work in Tysons. When I met
Rachel, I knew it was the right place for me! The Wednesday night
classes were my little oasis in an increasingly hectic world. I would be
looking forward to seeing Rachel and the other pregnant ladies and just
compare how our bodies and lives were changing. I soon found out that
the yoga poses and breathing exercises really helped me get centered. I
felt stronger and more relaxed after each class. During labor, I
practiced the breathing exercises I learned in my prenatal class, my
yoga breaths (and moans). I really believe using these techniques caused
me to have less pain as a result. I would highly recommend (and have
recommended) YogaVita to other pregnant ladies."

"I started Rachel's prenatal yoga class when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and continued it until I was a few days overdue. I looked forward to her class and loved every minute of it. I felt SO good after her class - all my aches and pains of pregnancy melted away. I developed increased flexibility, strength and overall relaxation from Rachel's class. I felt great during my pregnancy mostly due to this prenatal yoga class. Rachel also has a wonderful sense of humor and made the class a great deal of fun."

"Prenatal Yoga kept me strong and back pain free throughout my pregnancy. The yoga breath helped me through the natural labor I had hoped for. Practicing this type of breathing on a weekly basis and using it to work through the more difficult poses each week prepared me for getting through the contractions and staying relaxed. I used Rachel’s relaxation techniques to think about the contractions like waves or the tides, it helped me tremendously."
